Session Summary: AI is everywhere in healthcare conversations - but can it truly move the needle on skilled nursing quality measures? This session will separate reality from hype, showing healthcare professionals how to identify the measures most likely to benefit, avoid common pitfalls, and apply decision frameworks for strategic adoption. Attendees will leave with practical tools to support better outcomes, compliance, and efficiency.

Learning Objectives:

At the completion of this session, learners will be able to:
  • Identify at least three CMS quality measures in skilled nursing facilities that AI tools can directly impact (with statistical significance), and explain the mechanisms by which these improvements occur.
  • Evaluate the limitations and potential risks of using AI to influence quality measures, including data bias, workflow integration issues, and unintended consequences.
  • Apply a simple framework for assessing whether an AI tool is likely to deliver measurable improvement in a specific SNF quality measure.
