Dr. Varion Walton, DNP, MBA, RN, serves as Vice President of Clinical Services for Methodist Retirement Communities, a nonprofit continuing care organization serving Texas. His experience includes emergency and trauma nursing and progressive leadership roles within continuing care communities. He is also the founder of Walton Inspires, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and Walton Healthcare Associates, a healthcare consulting firm.
Walton is a graduate of Sam Houston State University and Texas Christian University. He earned bachelor’s degrees in Nursing and Business Management and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Sam Houston State University, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Executive Nurse Leadership and Practice from Texas Christian University. He holds licensure as a Licensed Nursing Facility Administrator (LNFA) and Certified Assisted Living Manager (CALM), and maintains certifications as a Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) and First Aid/CPR Instructor.
