Dr. Lauren Okamoto is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geriatric Medicine at the John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM). She is board certified in Geriatric Medicine and Family Medicine. She serves as Co-Director of the Medical Student Clerkship and Director of Resident Rotations for IM and FM. She is a previous recipient of the John A. Hartford Foundation Junior Faculty Career Development Award. She is a Geriatrics Academic Career Awardee. She serves as medical director of several nursing facilities and Co-Investigator of Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Program. Her interests include nursing home medicine, medical education, and medical directorship.
