Sarah Holmes, PhD, MSW is an Associate Professor of organizational systems and adult health at the University of Maryland School of Nursing. Dr. Holmes’ research focuses on developing and testing interventions for improving the care environments in post-acute and long-term care settings to optimize quality of life, decrease behavioral symptoms of distress, and increase opportunities for meaningful activity among residents. She also practices on an interdisciplinary wellness clinic team serving low-income senior housing communities to increase access to care and promote the health and well-being of older residents.
