Muhammad Salman Ashraf, MBBS, FIDSA, is an Associate Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases at University of Nebraska Medical Center. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatric Medicine and Infectious Diseases and serve as the Medical Director for Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Healthcare-Associated Infections and Antimicrobial Resistance (HAI/AR) Program. He is also the chair of the Infection Control Committee of PALTmed. He is currently working on different projects focused on improving infection prevention and control and antimicrobial stewardship program in various healthcare settings including nursing homes.
