Dr Patel serves as the Associate Chief Medical Officer for Primary Care at Eventus WholeHealth, an organization dedicated to outcomes-centered healthcare for the post-acute and long-term care (PA/LTC) population. With over 17 years devoted to PA/LTC medicine, Dr. Patel has served in multiple roles including attending physician, facility medical director, and organizational clinical leader.
Over the past decade with Eventus, he has helped shape and lead the organization’s clinical programs—first by developing and leading its medical directorship model, and now overseeing the entirety of primary care operations across all states in which Eventus serves, spanning both skilled nursing and assisted living settings.
His approach to leadership is grounded in ensuring all stakeholders are set up to succeed in this challenging and deeply impactful area of healthcare. The focus centers on driving clinical quality that translates to measurable outcomes, advancing healthcare value in this space, and strengthening partnerships with the facilities Eventus serves to deliver truly integrated, person-centered care.
Dr Patel currently serves as President-elect of the Carolinas Chapter of AMDA—The Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine, and is a participant in the national PALTmed Leadership Program, reflecting his commitment to professional development and advancing excellence in PA/LTC medicine. He has a passion for educating all involved in PALTC and hopes that this discussion is fruitful for all.
