Dr Swati Gaur is the Senior Medical Director for Post-Acute Care at Northeast Georgia Health System. She has been Medical Director for the Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health expanding care capacity of medicare nursing homes to care for residents with SMI, SUD and cooccuring illnesses, and the southeast QIN- QIO. Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, and Hospice and Palliative Care, she was named AMDA’s Medical Director of the Year (2021–2022). She consults on strategy and quality for PALTC networks and collaborates with CMS, CDC, AMDA, and SHEA on infection-related initiatives. Dr. Gaur is also a published author and frequent national speaker.
